Booking Agreement
By making a booking with PRD nationwide you agree to the terms and conditions set out below:
BOOKINGS/PAYMENTS: To secure a holiday booking, 50% of the tariff plus a non-refundable $15.00 booking fee is due 4 months prior to your arrival and the remainder of tariff due 1 month prior to your arrival. If your booking commences within 1 month of you making the booking the full tariff plus the $15.00 booking fee is required when booking.
Advance bookings (9 months or more away) require payment of $200.00 plus the booking fee of $15.00 within 10 days of making the booking.
CREDIT CARD FEE: Payments using a Credit Card will incur the following fees; Visa or Mastercard and AMEX 1.76%. These transactions will appear on your Credit Card statement as “REAL ESTATE PAYMENT-RR, AUSTRALIA”
You can also pay tariffs by cheque, money order or direct deposit. Please note that cheques or money orders will not be accepted within 14 days arrival.
CANCELLED BOOKINGS: If you cancel your booking outside one month of your arrival all monies will be refunded less a $200.00 cancellation fee. If you cancel your booking within 1 month of your arrival, you will forfeit all monies paid.
SECURITY BOND: Credit card details are required at time of booking. If a credit card can not be supplied than a Security Bond of $500.00 or $1000.00 must be paid. Please note no money will be deducted from your Security Bond unless we need to make a claim, which may include but is not limited to the following: excess cleaning fees, damage or breakages at the property, excess garbage removal, late checkout. You will be notified of any claims. You will incur a 1.76% convenience fee against your Security Bond if we make a claim using your Credit Card. Any Security Bond monies paid either by cheque, money order or direct deposit are receipted in to our Trust Account and are held until the property is vacated and checked. Any refund of bond will be forwarded to you on the 15th or 30th day of the month after your departure by cheque or bank transfer.
CHECK IN AND VACATING TIMES: The premises will be available for occupation from 2pm on the day of arrival and are to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Failure to vacate the property on time will incur a penalty equal to one night’s accommodation. All times quoted are local. Keys are to be returned to the office. A photocopy of your drivers license will be taken at time of picking up keys.
NUMBER OF PERSONS: The number of occupants stated above must not be exceeded. Should you exceed this amount your booking may be terminated.
KEYS: Keys will not be made available until all monies have been paid in full. Keys can be collected after hours from the Big Prawn Restaurant. If you require a second set of keys, you will be required to pay a $50.00 key bond. If keys are lost or broken all locks must be changed at a cost to the tenant. Tenants already in occupation requiring a key from a representative from this office after hours will be charged a call out fee of $110.00.
PETS: Due to government health regulations and Strata by-laws no pets are allowed in any premises let by us.
LINEN: Linen is not supplied in most of our properties. Holiday properties are supplied with blankets/doonas and pillows. For linen hire phone Byron/Ballina Holiday Hire 02 6685 6247.
NOISE: The tenant agrees not to cause or permit nuisance; the tenant agrees not to interfere, cause or permit interference, with the reasonable peace, comfort or privacy of neighbours.
PROPERTIES: In the event of the property being offered for sale the tenant agrees to allow the owner or his agent to inspect the property with a prospective purchaser during reasonable hours by appointment.
Bookings are made in good faith by the agent, however we can not be held responsible for the actions taken by the owner/s of the property i.e sale of property, withdrawal of property from letting etc. Every endeavour will be made by the office to find alternative accommodation and you will be given the opportunity to pay the difference in tariff, be refunded the difference if the next property chosen is of lesser value or receive a refund of your deposit if do not wish to book another property.
PRDnationwide will not be responsible for noise, inconvenience or loss of view caused by building construction on neighbouring or nearby properties.
REPAIRS: The agent endeavours to have any repairs to appliances attended to as soon as possible after reporting same. However, due to unforseen circumstances (eg. Having to order parts or non-availability of trades person) the immediate repair may be beyond our control. No responsibility is accepted by the agent for these unforseen circumstances. There will be no refunds or discounts deducted from tariffs for unusable appliances awaiting repair.
DAMAGES, LOSS OR THEFT OF TENANTS PROPERTY: No responsibility is taken for tenants personal property left on the premises. Landlords Insurance does not cover loss of tenant’s belongings. We suggest that you lock any doors or windows when you leave the property and keep any personal items out of view.
DAMAGES & BREAKAGES: Breakages and/or damage made to premises and/or furniture and furnishings not caused by normal wear & tear will be billed to your Security Bond upon departure.
CLEANING: The cleaners have prepared your property to a high standard; we ask in turn that you show consideration by being neat and tidy. Please wash, dry and put away used cutlery, crockery, pots/pans and utensils. Dishwasher should also be left clean & empty. Rubbish should be placed in garbage bags and placed in the outside bins. Please note the rubbish collection days displayed in the property and place outside accordingly. If a BBQ is supplied at your property it must be left clean upon your departure. A minimum fee of $50.00 will be charged for failure to comply.
If upon occupation, the property or its contents fail to meet acceptable cleaning standards every endeavour will be made to rectify the problem. However, this shall not be grounds for cancellation or refund.
DESCRIPTIONS: All bookings including those made by telephone, fax, e-mail, post or via the website are made in good faith by us and descriptions are given to the best of our knowledge. No responsibility for mis-description is accepted by us. It is the responsibility of the tenant to enquiry about any prospective property and what that property contains. No refund is given if you are not satisfied with your accommodation. Tariffs quoted are correct at time of booking, but are subject to change without notice. Should this occur, you will be notified immediately and given the opportunity to pay the difference in tariff or receive a refund of your deposit. We will also attempt to find you alternate accommodation.
GENERAL: Correspondance and telephone messages can be sent to our office provided that they are collected by the tenants. There is a charge per sheet for fax messages received.
There is a $50.00 administration fee for PRDnationwide Ballina to collect items that have been left behind at holiday properties. It is also the guest’s responsibility to organise postage or a courier to receive their belongings at their own cost.
EXTENDING YOUR STAY: This Booking Agreement is applicable for your extended booking. Payment MUST be made in FULL at time of extending your stay.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to our new on-line holiday booking service www.ballinaaccom.com.au the property you are staying in may not be available next time you would like to book it.
