Booking Agreement
THE GUEST AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS & CONDITIONS:
BOOKINGS/PAYMENTS:
Bookings made 3 months or more in advance require half the tariff plus the $35.00 booking fee to be paid within 10 days with the balance due 1 month prior to arrival.
Bookings made within 3 months require the full tariff plus the $35.00 booking fee to be paid within 10 days.
CHRISTMAS/EASTER BOOKINGS:
The balance of Christmas & Easter bookings must be paid 2 months prior to arrival.
CREDIT CARD FEE:
Payments using a Credit Card will incur the following fees; Visa or Mastercard and AMEX 1.76%. These transactions will appear on your Credit Card statement as “REAL ESTATE PAYMENT-RR, AUSTRALIA”
You can also pay tariffs by cheque, money order or direct deposit. Please note that cheques or money orders will not be accepted within 14 days of arrival.
CANCELLED BOOKINGS:
If you cancel your booking outside one month of your arrival all monies will be refunded less a $230.00 cancellation fee. If you cancel your booking within 1 month of your arrival, you will forfeit all monies paid.
CANCELLED CHRISTMAS BOOKINGS:
If cancelling a Christmas booking within 2 months of arrival all monies paid will be forfeited.
SECURITY BONDS:
Credit Card details are required at time of booking to act as a Security Bond. If a credit card can not be supplied then a Security Bond of $500.00 or $1000.00 must be paid. Please note: No money will be deducted from your Security Bond unless we need to make a claim, which may include but is not limited to the following: excess cleaning fees, damage or breakages at the property, excess garbage removal, late checkout. You will be notified of any claims. You will incur a 1.76% convenience fee against your Security Bond if we make a claim using your Credit Card. Any Security Bond monies paid either by cheque, money order or direct deposit are receipted in to our Trust Account and are held until the property is vacated and checked. If part of a set is damaged or broken the whole cost of the replacement of the set will be charged against your Security Bond.
SECURITY BOND REFUNDS:
Refund of security bonds ($500.00 or $1000.00) will be processed and forwarded to you on the 15th or 30th day of the month after your departure by cheque only. The cheque will be drawn in the name of the person that made the booking to the address given at the time of the booking. We are a cashless office and do not refund bonds in cash. Cheques will be marked not negotiable.
CHRISTMAS/EASTER SECURITY BOND/S:
A $1000.00 bond is required for all Easter and Christmas bookings.
CHECK IN AND VACATING TIMES: The premises will be available for occupation STRICTLY FROM 2PM on the day of arrival and are to be VACATED BY 10AM on the day of departure. All times quoted are local Eastern Standard Time. Keys are to be returned to the office. LATE CHECK OUT will be billed at a rate of $35.00 per HALF HOUR. If keys are NOT returned to our office a $150.00 fee will be billed. Should there be any inconveniences to our cleaners or arriving guests caused by late departure or non handing in of keys additional fees will be charged.
A photocopy of your driver’s license will be taken at time of picking up keys. We regret to inform that we are unable to offer luggage storage.
AFTER HOURS CHECK IN:
Your keys will be placed into an ELECTRONIC KEY SAFE located at the front of our office. You must ENTER YOUR MOBILE NUMBER and PRESS HASH (#) for the keys to release. Please advise our office as soon as possible if you will require an after hours check in. The key safe is available 24 hrs a day. The mobile number we will use to code your keys will be the mobile number you provide us at the time of booking.
KEYS:
Keys will not be made available until all monies have been paid in full. Only 1 set of keys will be offered per property. If keys are lost or broken all locks must be changed at a cost to the tenant. Tenants already in occupation requiring a key after hours due to loss or damage to keys will be charged a $150.00 call out fee from our agency, and any further additional charges applicable by tradespeople required.
NUMBER OF PERSONS:
The number of occupants stated above must not be exceeded. Should you exceed this amount your booking may be terminated. The person booking the property must stay in the property and will be held responsible for the conduct of all guests.
PETS:
Due to government health regulations and Strata by-laws no pets are allowed in any premises let by us.
SMOKING: Smoking is NOT ALLOWED INSIDE any holiday properties. Breaches may result in immediate termination of your holiday stay and extra cleaning charges will be charged to your bond. Damages as a result of smoking inside holiday properties will attract full replacement costs charged to your bond. Smoking is only allowed outside and in designated smoking areas.
LINEN:
Linen is not supplied in most of our properties. Holiday properties are supplied with blankets/doonas and pillows. For linen hire phone Byron/Ballina Holiday Hire 02 6685 6247.
NOISE:
The guest agrees not to cause or permit nuisance; the guest agrees not to interfere, cause or permit interference, with the reasonable peace, comfort or privacy of neighbours.
PARKING:
Parking is only allowed in the allocated parking space(s) for the property you have booked.
PROPERTIES:
In the event of the property being offered for sale the tenant agrees to allow the owner or his agent to inspect the property with a prospective purchaser during reasonable hours by appointment.
Bookings are made in good faith by the agent, however this office will not be held responsible for the actions taken by the owner/s of the property i.e sale of property, withdrawal of property from letting etc. Every endeavour will be made by the office to find alternate accommodation and you will be given the opportunity to pay the difference in tariff, be refunded the difference if the next property chosen is of lesser value or receive a refund of your deposit if do not wish to book another property.
PRD Nationwide will not be responsible for noise, inconvenience or loss of view caused by building construction on neighbouring or nearby properties.
REPAIRS:
The agent endeavours to have any repairs to appliances attended to as soon as possible after reporting same. However, due to unforseen circumstances (eg. Having to order parts or non-availability of trades person) the immediate repair may be beyond our control. No responsibility is accepted by the agent for these unforseen circumstances. There will be no refunds or discounts deducted from tariffs for unusable appliances awaiting repair.
DAMAGES, LOSS OR THEFT OF GUESTS PROPERTY:
No responsibility is taken for guests personal property left on the premises. Landlords Insurance does not cover loss of guests belongings. We suggest that you lock any doors and/or windows when you leave the property and keep any personal items out of view.
DAMAGES & BREAKAGES:
Breakages and/or damage made to premises and/or furniture and furnishings not caused by normal wear & tear will be billed to your Security Bond upon departure.
CLEANING:
The cleaners have prepared your property to a high standard; we ask in turn that you show consideration by being neat and tidy. Please wash, dry and put away used cutlery, crockery, pots/pans and utensils. Dishwasher should also be left clean & empty. Rubbish should be placed in garbage bags and placed in the outside bins. Your bin needs to be placed kerbside on failure to do so will incur a cost.
If a BBQ is supplied at your property it must be left clean upon your departure. A minimum fee of $80.00 will be charged for failure to comply. If upon occupation, the property or its contents fail to meet acceptable cleaning standards, the guest must contact the office immediately and every endeavour will be made to rectify the problem. However, this shall not be grounds for cancellation or refund. No responsibility will be taken for cleaning if it is reported on departure.
DESCRIPTIONS:
All bookings including those made by telephone, fax, e-mail, post or via the website are made in good faith by us and descriptions are given to the best of our knowledge. No responsibility for mis-description is accepted by us. It is the responsibility of the tenant to enquire about any prospective property and what that property contains. No refund is given if you are not satisfied with your accommodation. Tariffs quoted are correct at time of booking, but are subject to change without notice. Should this occur, you will be notified immediately and given the opportunity to pay the difference in tariff or receive a refund of your deposit. We will also attempt to find you alternate accommodation.
GENERAL:
Correspondence and telephone messages can be sent to our office provided that they are collected by the tenants. There is a charge per sheet for fax messages received.
There is a $50.00 administration fee for PRD Nationwide Ballina to collect items that have been left behind at holiday properties. It is also the guest’s responsibility to organise postage or a courier to receive their belongings at their own cost.
EXTENDING YOUR STAY:
This Booking Agreement is applicable for your extended booking. Payment MUST be made in FULL prior to extending your stay. You will be expected to leave the premises should you fail to organise this prior to the end of your tenancy. 24 hours notice must be given if you wish to extend your stay or you may be charged an inconvenience fee.
